as a thoroughbred retrainer this halter is the perfect design for communication on the lead, my mare had serious problems with pushing through me and the 4 knot noseband delivered a precise direction to her without causing any pain or discomfort to either of us she’s now one of the most respectful leaders i’ve had. definitely a staple in my shed and everyone should have one, i even use it on my older thoroughbred when he’s getting a bit hot headed and pushy especially at competitions
