Welcome to RES’s step by step guide on how to clean your rope and paracord gear!
Many people aren’t aware that you can clean your rope and paracord horse gear AND it’s easier than you might think! We understand the horse life is far from a clean one, horses get dirty and so does their tack. It can be hard to manage but for the longevity of your gear it’s important to clean them when they start to look a bit sad. Lucky for you a simple 4 steps will have your RES gear looking brand new!
Step 1.
Fill a bucket of warm soapy water.
Any bucket big enough to fit your tack is good enough and dishwashing liquid or detergent is all you need!
Step 2.
Soak gear in water for 15-30 minutes.
Feel free to soak all of your gear together but making sure all of it is submerged in the water.
Step 3.
Scrub gear in water.
For stubborn dirt stains or mud you can scrub the rope against itself or use a soft bristle brush however be careful with paracord braided sections or braided items, we recommend only using your hands for scrubbing stains.
Step 4.
Hang up to dry.
Once everything is clean hang up your gear or lay out on a table to dry and watch your gear look as good as new. If the results are still not perfect you can repeat the process!
It’s as easy as that, in just 4 steps you can transform your used and dirty gear and bring them back to life!
